a picture post …

short update

alive and sewing … i received some christmas orders from friends and i just sold a bag on dawanda … also got a load of pictures to upload … be back when the kids are in school …

school break

is on for another week … have to find constructive things for the kids to do … for the G3, we’re doing 10 mins of english workbook, 20 mins of typing game each day … for the K1, whatever her royal highness wishes to do ( except watch cartoons ) …. yesterday we baked cheesecake … i was surprised it came out looking n tasting like a cheesecake cuz we didn’t follow any recipe ( they all ask for soar cream or cottage cheese which we didn’t have ) … here’s what we did :

for the base : crush about 20 cream crackers and mix in a blob of melted butter. press onto a buttered pan

for the cake : throw into blender : a bar of softened cream cheese, one egg, juice from 1/3 of a lime, and 3/4 can of condensed milk . blend till smooth , pour into pan

bake in water bath (180 deg celcius) for 20 mins

i think i’ll stick to this recipe forever … simple and tastes good ..

testing vinyl …

vinyl fabrics doesn’t work like cotton ones … i found that out while sewing  a make-up bag … everytime the top side of the fabric is under the sewing feet , it’ll get stuck and i end up with very tense sewing stitches … ( later on i also found out while sewing a much bigger bag that any mistake u make stays as a line of holes , pics to come ) … i’ll have to check with janome if i can get a teflon foot…

the silver snap buttons look like eyes doesn’t they ? … she looks stressful, maybe cuz her mouth’s zipped shut ? … haha ! … here’s the inside :

6 hrs of my life …

spent on Facebook … ack … it’s all those applications , so easy to set-up and delete … the biggest time-suck is the ‘ iLike ‘ music app …  right now i’m checking out John Mayer’s page … there are 6 full length songs to listen to , one brand new … to the right of the page is a list of related artist … i will be checking that out too … then it’ll be 3 in the morning ….

oh wow

i found out that i not only have fairy godmothers but there is some higher powers looking after me … it could be my collection of lucky cats … i’ve just escaped my K1’s  full blast hurl … yay ! for me  … the husband, well, let’s just said : ” Bullseyes !! “
