the coffee lady has been sugarly nice lately … i’ve been bringing my own cup and she bought taller straws esp for me 
… she’s been greeting her customers with a big smile too cuz right across the street TWO new coffee stalls have opened their business , located back-to-back … i don’t understand, there’s already one inside the hospital so that makes 4 coffee stalls within 30 meters ? … this does not include the other 3 stalls that sells traditional thai ‘ pantyhose ‘ coffee … the place’s only bustling in the morning and noon … after that it’s tumbleweed time …

where are they ?
the recycling bins at carrefoure, issaraphap … they have been missing on my last two trips there … i have way too much uht milk boxes and plastic bottles in the trunk of my car waiting to be dispose of … the last i’ve seen them , they were a morbid sight … it’s all because you place them near the tuk-tuk drivers … they don’t seem to care what purpose these bins are for and dump their lunch into the nearest bin … taking 5 more steps to the regular bins is too. much. effort. … they really undermine my effort of separating my trash, all washed up and dried, to be covered with their meatball sauces …
next, on my ( very long ) to-do list …
i will soon be cool , combating housework with this apron …

oh ‘ chi-wit ‘ ( oh, my life )
meet the new me :
yes, the housekeeper is gone … fired … ughh … she borrowed from the loan sharks again , knowing full well that she can’t repay them … we cleared her off the first loan and calculated the real interest rate for her , which was not 20% but over 200% … told her if she have money problems, she’ll come discuss it with us first … but it just didn’t get thru her head …
so now that’s the ‘ new ‘ me … can be found walking around with a plastic bag hanging on a belt … ( to pick up all the clutter , so i don’t have to make too many trips to put them back… i need to sew a work apron , i look like bag lady ) … at first i felt bad about the whole thing, since i did the firing … we figured we wanted a good departure, so a ‘ girl’s talk ‘ was more suitable than ‘the-husband-still-so-pissed talk ‘ … but after i found out the hidden treasures in the storage room , i feel less guilt-ridden …okay, so i gave her permission to put toys into plastic bags to fool the K1 that we’re donating the toys if she doesn’t pick up … there was , like, 20 bags in the storage room ? … each bag is a potpurri of toys, lids, cans, screws, cups, even orange peels <– orange peels , yew ! …
other happenings :
i got the computer fixed , the internet cafe took care of it … the power blew up or something like that … so , no laptop but i saved much … i’ll be getting an external hard disk to back up all my precious pictures …
enrolled the kid into summer school , she picked the science camp which involves a lot of experiments in making yoghurt and ice cream … plus, she’ll be swimming in the afternoons 3 times a week 
… for the kindergarten section, summer school is not very enticing … we’ll be keeping the K1 home and probably train her to do housework ( heeheehee ) …
i have a couple more bags to sew , and i’ll be free … anybody have anything for me to make ? … i’m sewing a princess dress for the K1’s show , very excited over it cuz it is very puffy!! … it’s quite a difficult pattern as it involves over 20 pieces of fabric …
i’ll be posting another coin purse tutorial once i find the instructions i wrote on a scrap piece of paper … this one you can hand sew the whole thing …

koh phangan
spent chinese new years at koh phangan , the island famous for the full moon / half moon / black moon parties … we stayed at utopia , which happen to be opened by one of the husband’s suppliers down south … it was great , the beach is clean and clear … i get to snorkel for the first time in my life … saw one group of fish only , cuz the kid was with me … when we get too far from shore , she’ll have leg cramps … i ended up hauling her back onto shore when both her legs got cramps … the owners took care of us really well … we got to eat a lot of squids and also went squid fishing in the middle of the night … wish i can blog more , but have to go the gym and get my protuding tummy back into shape …
